sokonglah novel tempatan - EH? hahaha

dan siap baca dalam sehari setengah aje..


my verdict? err ada waktu aku rasa nak pelempang aje si hawa ni.. eh? haha.. sorry to say la.. bila baca tu rasa macam menyampah macam nak je cakap.. sikit2 cukup la woi marah2 tu..

but, i think i like the drama even better.. elaboration so far boleh diterima akal..

jangan risau, saya bukan peminat-susah-mati eron ajiz.. tidak2.. tidak seperti ada hamba Allah *cough* yang sorang tu.. hahahahahaha.. ampun.. kira ok la lakonan dia dalam drama tu.. tapi, i'm seriously in love with nadya nisaa tu.. cantik dan pandai dia berlakon.. puas hati.. episod dia nangis2 minta maaf dgn mak dia tu, bagus2.. i like..

so far so good.. mari lihat apa jadi berikutnya..

owh please don't tell me you guys haven't heard about the book? oh by the way, let me warn you.. this book is not suitable for young girls, adolescent, even better if you are not married yet better not read the book.. kang jgn salahkan mama ok hahahahaha

this book is about a relationship between a 21-year old girl with a mysterious billionaire with a very dark past and dark secret.. what secret? read it yourself. tak boleh spoil.. as for mama, i'm glad to read this book with my lovely friends (we set up a book club) and currently we are still discussing who should play Mr Grey himself ..

buku ni ditulis oleh graduate phd (7 tahun - hambik!) di John Hopkins Uni (antara ivy league uni untuk medical studies)

baru start baca semalam. ya Allah sumpah tak larat nak gelak. mengekek2 mama sorang2 (dah macam org tak betul dalam bas)

baru baca 20% of the book. so far, 70% yang dia cakap tempek kat batang idung sendiri dan memang serupa dengan apa yang mama lalui T_T

sesetengah orang lalui masa yang teruk kat grad school. well, mama ada ups n downs. biasa la kan? ada waktu tu stress macam ape, tapi bila baca buku ni kata 'well, i'm not alone' hahahahaha

highly recommended untuk bakal student post-grad, yang tengah belajar dan juga yang dah selesai belajar... sebab rasanya hampir semua grad student lalui benda yang sama, cuma level yang berbeza.. ada orang kena teruk, dan ada yang kena so-so aje..

anyway, you don't have to be a nerd to be in grad school.. kehkehkeh

boleh jadi stress! :P

Dalam seminggu mama baca novel ni.. baca dalam bas je pun masa nak pi mai lab.. buku2 nicholas sparks takde dalam kindle lak tu.. menci ok.. jadi 2 weeks masa pi kedai buku uni beli la buku ni.. mujur kat kedai koop uni dapat juga la less dr original price novel.. huhu..

beli pun sebab nak tengok movie dia la.. membayang channing tatum (ooooo drooling tak sudah!) jadi hero -- dahle nad cakap nnt dia nangis2.. owh, takleh imagine.. maka habiskan jugak baca buku ni.. haha gatai!

sekarang, kena ingat.. selalu movie dari novel tak best.. selalunya lah! so.. bertabah..

secara kasar, buku ni cerita pasal John Tyree, bdk nakal turned out as a soldier.. fallen in love with sweet innocent Savannah.. it started out really well until..... hah! baca sendiri!

stress mak baca buku ni, nak nangis ka, nak sedih ka.. hai lah!

ada satu lagi buku mama baca.. yang ni beli kat kindle..

mula2 rasa macam revealing la gak.. sekali bila aidid muaddib tu cakap kata dia ni penipu mlm gak, haiyoooo terus stop! dah 70% baca.. bila fikir balik, duduk diam2 betul gak weh.. ada certain part memang ok la ajarannya.. supaya kita ni celik bab financial literacy.. kena make the money work for us.. tapi memang ada certain part contoh investment dalam mutual fund... dia kata tak ok langsung.. bagi mama, kalau kita nak invest, kita kena la pilih yang kita mampu.. ada yang low risk, medium risk n higher risk.. pastu dia ni cakap rumah bukan dikira sebagai aset.. bab ni mama 50-50  dengan dia.. ntahle.. korang baca la ek.. kalau nak tgk cerita kata dia ni scammer, try tengok sini pulak 

apa2 pun, be critical.. tak mesti kita kena sentiasa setuju dengan orang.. sentiasa condemn orang pun tak baik jugak kan?

melalut lebih.. kena buat kerja pulak..

Ni la namanya pengaruh! dari soalan tanya buku apa nak dibeli oleh cik anis kita, membawa kepada suggestion untuk buku yang best dibaca (ye elle.. ko le tu).. dah lama rasanya mama tak review buku baru dibaca.. ada a few buku yang dibaca. baca sket berhenti, baca sket berhenti.. so la ni, dah melekat balik..

Mujur kindle ipong itu bagus.. boleh download dari atas bas lagi.. haha.. mula2 preview, pastu, eh macam best, maka beli.. nah, sekarang baca la dalam bas..

so far best.. cerita dia pasal sorg perempuan cuba bunuh diri dia sendiri.. pasal apa bunuh diri? haaa.. nanti mama cerita lepas habis baca..

nota: hari la la sebab dah jumpa sensei.. next week pulak menghadap lagi

Currently reading this book.. So far, after 300pgs (iphone screen pages) i would say the storyline was entertaining..

Had enjoyed reading this during the weekend..

baru aje beli buku ni.. tapi dah half way through baca.. i kind of wondering (sometime) how many s*%t can a person say/handle daily.. lepas baca ni baru tau.. BANYAK WEH!! hahahhahaha..

buku ni sebenarnya a kind of autobiography of the author's father.. which is the main character of the book.. bapa penulis ni pakar onkologi di University of California, San Diego.. kelemahan utama bapa dia (err, mungkin bukan kelemahan la.. in such a way, dia rasa bangga juga) bapa dia suka mencarut.. tapi apa yang dia cakap sebenarnya terus terang..

buku ni boleh juga la kata ada sikit2 parenting tips.. especially on how to be honest with your kids.. nak kata rekemen tak le.. tapi for the sake of having some laugh and fun reading, why not? just give it a try! kalau banyak sangat mencarut jangan marah eh.. hehehehe

it's been a while since I read new books.. in fact I only managed to finish a novel after landed in Kyoto.. not good.. A NOVEL WITHIN 4 MONTHS!! sigh!! malu dengan diri sendiri!

last tuesday I went to the university's book shop.. I'll blog about bookshops in Kyoto in another entry..

there was only one english section in the book shop.. that is kinda good enough for me to find new books that I find interesting to read... but I still have another couple of books at home which are still not touch yet..

well, today I started to read the book again (I stopped last time because I was too busy -again lame excuse.. I know..) last Tuesday I did bought the new edition of Reader's Digest and been reading it before sleep for the past 2 nights.. last night I stumbled across the article on Ketut - the shaman whom Elizabeth went to see during her assignment visit at Bali..

This morning while reading the book, there was one question that Elizabeth asked Ketut that kind of struck me.. A question that I quite often asked myself..

I want to have a lasting experience of God. Sometimes I feel like I understand the divinity of this world, but then I lose it because I get distracted by my petty desires and fears. I want to be with God all the time. But I don't want to be a monk, or totally give up worldly pleasures. I guess what I want to learn is how to live in this world and enjoy its delights, but also devote myself to God.

well, do you guys feel the same too or is it just me? just out of my curiosity.. but, day by day, I am grateful that Allah kept me under His rahmat of being a muslim and able to worship him daily..

tbc - I am still reading the book though.. will continue to blog whatever I find interesting..

jalan cerita dia simple.. mudah nak faham dan berkisar pasal seorang budak elementary yang ada krisis hidup kanak2.. dari girlfriend, kena buli, cikgu dia.. macam2 laa..

InsyaAllah esok mama akan finalize ke mana nak pi belajar.. sebab esok meeting untuk staf yang akan sambung study 2010 dengan top management.. tu yang rasa berdebar2.. seriau ada, gabra pun ada, sebab yang pergi bukan dekan, tapi timbalan dekan.. dan kes mama, papa akan dibincangkan esok.. sebut kes cam buat jenayah je kan? huhuhuhu.. korang doakan mama ye.. dapat pi tempat yang bagus untuk belajar dan bagus untuk bawa family..

kalau depa takde keputusan akhir, serius mama cari kerja lain.. ahakss..

in the mean time, to kill the time, I am currently reading this.. baru je start.. terkedek2.. zaman bila la baru leh habis.. hoho

Hujung minggu lepas saya sudah habis baca buku ini..





Buku sophie kinsella twenties girl ni lebih ringan.. walaupun bab² awal agak lembab.. tapi bila dah tengah² tu best.. siap gelak sorang-sorang lagi.. sebabnya watak dia memang sweet bila boleh bergabung dengan hantu tu untuk mengorat mamat yang hantu tu suka.. opss madeh, sila jangan marah.. buku ni best.. kyg dah poskan semalam.. harini sampai la kut.. buku ni settle baca dalam sehari suntuk.. sambil ditemani aiman hujung minggu lepas.. pencapaian gak.. lama dah tak baca buku selaju ni.. hehehe


Overall, buku ini lebih baik dari buku ini..

beezee weekend ahead

mama has been really occupied with few meetings and preparation for my interview this weekend. I am not complaining, just to share that I have attended at least 3 meetings since wednesday and exactly at 10 am, there'll be another one.. phewww.. what a week. Not to mention there are students waiting for some outcome from me including the marking scheme from the last week's test, interview with the student later during lunch hour and tennis practice this afternoon.. yep people! I need to brush up my skill in tennis. the school member has put my name as the tennis player for the student-staf game next week.. what the ....??? and there's even two more games that I need to play - netball and volleyball (breath in... breath out...) somput mak!!

The last time I played tennis was with dira during our master's years.. in KTF to be precise and not to mention that I was too lousy with tennis that we ended up playing hit the ball at the wall.. sorry dira, you certainly have a very lousy tennis player friend.. kuang3.. and again, I would like to stressout that I am a totally WORST (read aloud please) in netball.. during schooldays I was into hockey all the time.. and during undergrad years, I was doing something that most people don't do - I entered swimming as my Ko-K and attended horse riding classes in spare time.. If the school ask me to join any other sport that doesn't involve hitting balls (mind you guys, I can't focus correctly while hitting a ball) I surely wouldn't mind playing.. seriously, if you think that I am the typical girl playing girly thing.. oh please.. you are certainly asking the wrong person..

but since the school doesn't have enough players, me being soft-hearted says okey lorrr.. as long as students enjoy having good time with us, I think I would just play along.

another good and exciting news waiting is I am going to have my interview with future supervisor this weekend - on Sunday.. If this go smoothly, we'll be heading to this place

If the prof agree to supervise me, we'll be leaving to that place before 2009 ends (I can't put any date yet until everything is finalized).. and it's going to 4 years instead of 3!! aiyayayaya.. sama cam US la.. so, please make doa for me and family.. pray for my success.. so that I can contribute back to the nation once I'm back..

update on book..

I have finish reading The Last Lecture -Randy Pausch.. it only took me 2 weeks to finish this book (ye, I am a slow reader) and what I have to say is that this book is really motivational.. in case you're too down with problems, try to read this..

Randy Pausch has lost his battle to cancer last year.. this book was actually based on the final lecture given at Carnegie Mellon university (his working place). I would say that he's one optimistic guy.. believe me.. he accomplised his childhood dreams (even if it takes yearsssss to achieve) and he is totally a lecturer to be respected. I seriously wish I have the same kind of lecturer as he is..

I think I would re-read this book whenever I felt down or sad.. just to give some motivation to me - as a lecturer..

now, I am going to start reading this.. nasibla mslola tak review every details in this book.. kalau tidak mesti frust.. ahaks

note: really hoping to settle everything regarding my study application by march.. and wishing that papa will to join us there..

book update

my first book for 2009 review

this will be the same review I gave to my book club..

well, mama have officially finished this book last night.. all in all, I would say that this book doesn't up to my expectations.. especially the rush ending which doesn't supposed to happen based on sophie kinsella's previous books especially shopaholic series which is waaayyyyy better than this.. I would say that some of characters in this book really annoy me.. especially the stupid hubby with manual, inconsiderate friends (she already mention her amnesia, but they still treat her the same way.. apedaa), the mother - which almost like sylvia (the nanny tv series) character and many more.. truly, I didn't enjoy this book.. I would say 3 out of 5 stars.. sorry la.. tak kena taste langsung.. hohoho

I am going to start reading this book tonight.. hope it doesn't turn out the way 'the secret' has made me - which by the way, I didn't read it until finish.. bored me to death (sorry to the book's fan)

*can't wait to go home and cook gulai lemak cili api daging salai and prepare cincalok for dinner.. nyum nyum nyum

Alhamdulillah, I just received my books from babah this afternoon.. This book is actually meant to prepare myself before study.. hope to finish this book before research start.. thanks to nana and babah for picking it up at kino.. it includes Tony Buzan's The Speed Reading Book (really need to learn this ASAP.. too many papers to read makes me sleepier than ever!! uhuhu), Patrick Dunleavy's Authoring A PhD (hope this book will guide me in writing a good thesis - so that it can be transfered into a book.. which really will give more impact to the profession) and last but not least, please don't laugh.. I know maybe I'm the last PERSON ON EARTH who's still doest read this book - Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Thanks to nana too for 'jacketing' my book (is there such a word??) 

p/s: Nana, your Hlovate pun termasuk la dalam parcel tu.. will bring it home next week, okey
